Howden’s Feature Story

Howdens is the UK’s Number 1 Trade Kitchen Supplier, supplying kitchens and joinery products. Established in 1995 by Matthew Ingle, Howdens was chosen as one of The Sunday Times 30 Best Big Companies to Work For in 2017, along with being listed as a Business Super Brand in September 2019.

They are supporting us to offer more opportunities to disadvantaged communities in Derbyshire. Through their support we can engage with more high-risk individuals and support their development and education. Trade professionals have the know-how to install Howden kitchens to a high standard, which is why they only sell directly to trade. In turn, builders trust them to have the stock they need, when they need it.

With more than 700 depots nationwide, locally stocked, with a wide product choice, Howden’s offer an array of products and services including free expert planning design, available at every depot. Their designer can visit your home, take measurements, explore products, and provide advice on how to get the best from your space – no matter what size or budget you are working with. They were granted a Royal Warrant of Appointment by Her Majesty the Queen as a supplier of fitted kitchens in 2015. Through the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust they continue to support UK craftspeople – keeping important skills alive. Their products are rigorously tested at a dedicated, in-house facility and by industry-recognised testing associations. Therefore, they offer a 25-year guarantee on cabinets, a 5-year guarantee on kitchen doors, and a 3-year guarantee on Lamona-branded appliances. Howdens is also sustainably sourced, with 98% of all waste produced in manufacturing and logistics being diverted from landfill and re-used to produce heat energy for their factories.

Howden’s offers traditional craftmanship which is at the heart of their business and we are incredibly grateful to be supported by such as reliable and well-known organisation.
